Pony Club believes that our Alumni are our greatest achievement, and our investment toward assuring a strong, vibrant equestrian culture in the future.
Pony Club Alumni can be found all over the world, in show rings, veterinary practices, boardrooms and classrooms, gracing Olympic podiums or shoeing horses in your neighborhood barn. They are coaches, teachers, executives, law officers, parents and citizens just like you.
They are the people who are making a difference by giving back to their communities through the same volunteerism that was part of their formative journey. But they all share a common experience and that is the lifelong connection to the Pony Club family.
With clubs operating in 27 countries around the globe, Pony Club Alumni have friends and peers wherever they go. Many lifelong friendships have had their roots in the shared journey that is Pony Club.

I had the good fortune to participate as a member of the Canadian team 1985 Interpacific Rally in England. That experience was my first with international travel, interacting with friends and competitors from other countries. It provided many opportunities....to compete and share a sport I still love abroad, to learn from generous teachers both in Canada (Jim Elder) and England ( I can't remember the names sorry!) to see your host country living as a guest with a family vs just as a tourist. I recall riding a very tall warmblood at the Elders....and cantering down to a fence I felt very confident it would be better to go under than over...except for the size of the horse! That theory would have worked with my thoroughbred at home but was ineffective here!While in England we visited the races and Newmarket, saw Steve Cauthen ride one of the queens horses to victory, the national stud and the Jockey Club also in Newmarket. It really opened my eyes to opportunities , differences in culture kindness and potential the big world can offer .....I still ride every week as time allows and compete as an adult amateur.....however work in a totally different world ( fashion and buying ) travelling alot, now mostly to China, Italy and the US, that first experience gave me a wonderful base to start from, being open to understanding and learning how much different perspectives backgrounds and ideas can offer. Over the years experiences like this and the horses have taught me so much on how to fuction with people and in business.

The year and a half that I spent in Pony Club was the best time I have had riding horses. I stll have my badge and pin, and my Manual of Horsemanship. Unfortunately, it was dissolved due to lack of participation right when I was starting to enjoy myself.For those other girls who were in the dauphin Pony Club with me, they will remember the Paint mare I had named Duchess. I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful time I've had, and I wished I stayed with it.

I remember my years in Pony Club as some of the most enjoyable. Cathy Knox-leet and the Mackay sisters were the buddies I rode with the most. Wonder what they are doing now?

I always loved Ponyclub as kid, memories from my experience there are unforgettable and some of my fondest. Many friendships were made and my greatest teachers for horsemanship where from CPC. Pony club is such a great organization. I learned so much and had so much fun during my pony club years. I am now living in the US and volunteering with the US pony club and have made lots of contacts for horses to ride etc. I hope to return to Canada soon and plan to get involved there too.

Participated in various Pony Club shows on school horses as part of Pony Club and lesson ppprogram for two years - moved away to Quebec (St. Bruno) where no one knew anything about Pony Club. Since then, I've been secretary, DC (Oxford Downs PC) Regional Secretary and Regional Chair (SLOV) and am now the DC of a new branch, Eastwind PC in Casselman ON

Represented our region in PPG, completed at the CNE and came in 2nd place. Also had the opportunity to try out for a spot on the Canadian PPG team. It was between myself and the other girl. We were so close, it was a hard decision, and the other girl made the team. As it turned out, I later realized my pony may not have made it over to Scotland. Congratulations to that girl, whom I have never known.
