Pony Club believes that our Alumni are our greatest achievement, and our investment toward assuring a strong, vibrant equestrian culture in the future.
Pony Club Alumni can be found all over the world, in show rings, veterinary practices, boardrooms and classrooms, gracing Olympic podiums or shoeing horses in your neighborhood barn. They are coaches, teachers, executives, law officers, parents and citizens just like you.
They are the people who are making a difference by giving back to their communities through the same volunteerism that was part of their formative journey. But they all share a common experience and that is the lifelong connection to the Pony Club family.
With clubs operating in 27 countries around the globe, Pony Club Alumni have friends and peers wherever they go. Many lifelong friendships have had their roots in the shared journey that is Pony Club.

I have many pleasant memories of Saturday lessons, winter and summer. I was a member of the Ont Regional Quiz team for C level. In 1966, I competed in the Master's Cup at the Toronto Hunt Club. My family moved to the west coast in 1967, including my two horses. I became a member of the Southlands Club until I went to University. Although I don't ride regularly, I still have a horse.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences that were offered to me through Pony Club. I was fortunate to participate in national quiz, rally, tetrathlon, PPG as well as international tetrathlon. I met many great people through this organization and learned valuable skills along the way. I can't say enough good things about this organization and what it can offer to young people. Today, I am living in Whitehorse, Yukon with my husband, our dog and my horse.

I have many fond memories of pony club. Early on, there were weekly lessons at Joy Jarjour's, and hacking over to Betty Cooper's for jumping lessons. Every year, we had the spring working rally, at Carp fair grounds, and then later Maxville fair grounds, on the May long week-end. The regional rally, each summer was challenging, and a chance to re-connect with friends from other branches. Quiz, and the dressage/show jumping show were other yearly activities. When I was 19, I was given the opportunity to ride in the National Rally in Kelowna,B.C. Our team brought home the training level trophy! Testing was very difficult for me, as I was very shy, but I managed to get the B2 test done. Did the test in my final year of pony club, as I wanted to ride my young mare that I had brought along myself, and had to wait for her to grow up.

Level C3 I have great memories of my time with the Village Creek Pony Club. Prince Philip Cup Games, Rallies, Quiz competition and shows. The best way to have grown up. I am so grateful to Mary Ann and Connie (Cookman) who spent so much time running the club.

1980 - As part of Village Creek Pony club, we hosted the Australian Pony Club. They were a fun bunch!! 198? - Representing Ottawa Valley, my sister Carol (who went as my groom) and I went out to Calgary (actually Black Diamond) and competed in the national rally. I tried out numerous, well qualified horses before settling on one to ride in the three day event. We did well and had a fabulous time!

I loved Pony Club! The meetings, the rallys, PPG, quiz, it was all cool. Back when I was a member only boys were allowed in Tetrathalon! Right after I got my C1, I changed coaches and my parents were convinced, by the coach, that I should be showing 'A' rather than in Pony Club. What a big mistake! I went from having fun and learning stuff to winning sevenths against 50 other kids who were all either bored or spoiled rotten. I coach now and tell parents, if they really want their kids to excell at the sport, and have a life-long commitment, Pony Club is the place to be. I'm very glad there is this initiative to contact Alumni, 4H does a hugh amount of fundraising and partnering with alumni. We're out here, give us something to do.

My greatest memory of my time in Pony Club happened during my first year (1974), when I unexpectedly won the Dale Therrian Memorial Trophy. This award was given to the most promising rider who showed enthusiasm and willingness to learn. It was totally unexpected and was a huge honour to receive.
