D Rally

D Rally 2008 is being held at Caledon Hunt Club, Caledon, ON on August 23rd.

As of 2007, two new divisions have been added: D Open (max height 2'3") and D1 Open (max height 2'6"). These new divisions are open to any D1 or D2 participant, respectively, who may not be comfortable competing at the traditional D1 or D2 levels. The new levels are for all parts of the competition, not just the Cross Country section.

It is a Westover Pony Club recommendation that members groom at D Rally prior to competing. The Caledon Hunt Club is a huge facility and can be overwhelming for young individuals. A previous knowledge of the "lay of the land", and of the competition as a whole is beneficial to competitors, which is why we encourage young riders to attend their first Rally as a groom. Grooming is fun as well as educational and will provide a better understanding of what is expected as a rider.

There is usually food available to purchase (a barbeque, drinks, and snacks), so those who may not have time to pack a lunch can relax knowing that temporary starvation can be avoided!
