The Mill Ridge branch of the Western Ontario Region was formed in 1982. We draw our members from Fergus, Elora, Rockwood, Waterloo and surrounding areas. Our Branch colours are Maroon and Grey. Currently Mill Ridge has 15 members ranging from "E" to "C2" levels. Mill Ridge operates a winter lecture series from January to April. We offer an extensive education series covering all areas of horsemanship, horse and pony care, safety, equipment and sportmanship, and arrange clinics on a wide range of topics. Mill Ridge is not associated with any one stable and does not provide horses for members. There are many stables in the area where those who do not own a horse can participate in our activities by leasing, borrowing, or sharing a horse or pony. In the summer we participate in all Regional events; Quiz, Tetrathlon, PPG, Dressage, Show Jumping, C Rally, and D Rally. Thanks to outstanding performances by our teams and individuals, Mill Ridge has won the Western Ontario Regional High Point award for several years. This award goes to the Branch which has achieved the best overall performance in all Regional competitions. More information is available through our District Commissioner, Kathryn Roe-Guerin who can be reached by email at jguerin@wightman.ca .
