What is the Glen Highlands Pony Club?

Glen Highlands Pony Club is a Branch of the Canadian Pony Club. It is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, with approximately 12 members ranging from 8 to 18 years old. It is for young people under 21 who love horses and want to learn more about horse care and riding. The children have an opportunity to learn leadership and teamwork, make many new friends, and understand their responsibility as horse/pony owners and/or riders. We hold meetings twice a month with one meeting being an educational session and the other more of a fun meeting including hands on, group outings or special guest speakers.

Our motto is "Loyalty, Character & Sportsmanship", these are great qualities our children can learn and benefit from, in all aspects of life. Our top priority is to make this a fun and learning experience for everyone involved.

You do not need to own a horse to join, come out for the education and fun! If you do own or lease a horse or pony there are a lot of competitions and clinics available from May through August. All levels of knowledge are welcome.

There are many people in the community with horse knowledge and experience that could assist in helping Glen Highlands Pony Club grow. If you have facilities or Horse knowledge that you would like to contribute, please contact one of the Executive Members listed below.
