Take Highway 10 northwest to Orangeville, where Highways 24 & 10 join. Continue 18 km to Primrose, where highways turn to the west (left). Continue 4 km. Turn north (right) on 24 just before Shelburne, where Hwy 24 separates from 10; go 29 km. Turn west (left) on Highway 4 (signs to Flesherton) and go 10 km. Turn north (right) on county road 2, go 6 km (through Feversham) to county road 31. Turn west (left), go about 4 or 5 km and Checkmate will be on the (north) right. Enter gate with Pony Club sign, after the main driveway (you will see trailers and tents).

Take Hwy 6 N through Guelph, Fergus, to Arthur (if you are coming from Kitchener, Cambridge, pick up Hwy 6 in Fergus). In Arthur, turn right at the big church you see in front of you as you proceed down Arthur's main street (where Hwy 6 veers off to the left). Go about ½ km and turn north (angle left) onto county road 14. Follow 14 northward through Gordonville, Conn, Cedarville, Hopeville, to Highway 4. (Road makes several large jogs; total distance ~41 km.) Turn east (angle right) onto Hwy 4; proceed 8 km through Ceylon, Flesherton to county road 13. Turn north (left) on 13, go 7 km (through Eugenia), to county road 31. Turn east (right) and continue 7 km to Checkmate, which will be on the north side (left). Turn into gate with Pony Club sign, where you will see trailers and tents.
