Reindeer Games, December 2003

Jeanette Gladwin on Willow
(Appleton P.C.)

This was my first time at PPGs . It was a lot of fun. We played games like reindeer pooperscooper, letter to Santa, deck the halls, and many many more. The names of the games were pretty funny. I met lots of ponyclubers from other clubs. There were three teams of four. Our team might have done even better if Calico hadn't eaten all of the M & Ms ("reindeer droppings").

Calico is the name of the pony I shared with a teammate named Sabrena. Sabrena is from Smith Falls and has been riding since November. She rides regularly at Heroncrest and also rides Calico.

I can't wait for the next PPGs.

The Halloween CreePPGs (October 2002)

The CreePPGs Halloween games were really fun. Almost everyone dressed up as something or another: one person was a wizard, another was a knight, and a third was wearing a grass skirt and coconuts! Some people dressed their ponies up too. The wizard had stars on her horse! I was a jack-o-lantern.

The PPGs are games on horseback. They are really fun. Here are some of the games:

There are many more games but you'll have to come to see them. The PPGs are really fun!

(P.S. the names of the games change with the different holidays.)

Regional PPG, July 13-14, 2002
AFFPC Team: Amanda Doucette, Korah Broderick, Dana Harding, Angie Johnson, Lydia King Calais on Hughie (Vaudreuil) Olivia on Pinky (Vaudreuil)

Katie Hendricks on Trigger and Nick McIntosh on Blue (ODPC)   Jasmine on Pinky (Vaudreuil)

The PPGs were great again (partly because I got to ride Dusty again). The games were a lot of fun but the jello wasn't very good and it was hard to eat wearing bunny ears and a bunny face on my hat. I hope that everyone gets a chance to go to Heroncrest in Smith's Falls to play the games next year (and help KRPC be #1 again!!!)

Stupid Cupid PPGs

The Stupid Cupid PPGs (Prince Philip Games) at Heroncrest barn on February 10th, 2002 were really fun.

We were split into two age groups, so if you were at a younger level it wouldn't be as hard. We participated in several different activities. There was a relay race where you had to weave through poles that were sticking upwards, without knocking them over. Then we handed the baton to the next person in our group. In another activity we would trot along, take a plastic cup off a pole and put it on the next one. There are so many fun activities that the best way for you to learn about them is for you to go to the PPGs yourself!
