The Winter Education camp is planned for the weekend of March 2nd to March 4th at the MacSkimming Outdoor Education center in Cumberland. The format will be much like last year with activities, clinics, outdoor activities and a special clinic for pony club parents. Dr Bones is scheduled to bring their 15.2 Equine skeleton; they make learning about the skeletal system fun! I am working on many more exciting clinic ideas and will announce them as they are confirmed. Clinics are being carefully planned to ensure that the camp is suitable for Es right through to B. Participants will be divided into groups for clinics that will be geared to appropriate level and ages.
Parents included, we can accommodate 90 participants. Anyone interested in volunteering and inputting ideas are asked to please come to the AGM, Nov 25th or contact Bev Hewitt 613-284-1083.
All discipline chairs will be asked to make a display board to promote/market their discipline. The cost of the cardboard display board and materials should be included in your 2007 budgets. The boards will be on display during the Winter Camp and at Regional Quiz. Handouts with dates, announcements and explanations of the discipline and the opportunities would be really beneficial. All information should be geared to the interest of the members as well as the parent.
