2007
- Dec. 1st: SLOV AGM, 9:30 am-2:30 pm. Bring 20
copies of year-end Branch and Discipline reports. Lunch $5.

St. John's High School, 2066 Scotch Line Road,

Cost will be around $5 - $6 for youth and $10 - $12 for adults.
- Nov. 6th: Coach to the Royal Winter Fair. $50 per person. Admission and
reserved seating for the evening show (including an indoor Event) provided by SLOV. Coach leaves Smiths Falls at 7am, returns

- Jan. 28th: Oxford Downs Pony Club is offering a clinic with horse-feed expert Corlena Polegato. From 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
at Kemptville College, Barr Arena, next to the horse stables.
Kemptville College is in Kemptville, which is west of
#416, south of Hwy 44, near the Kemptville Hospital.
Cost is $10 for Regional Members and $15
for non pony club members.

Feed and Seed.
She will speak about horse nutrition, different kinds of
feed, and purpose of feed.

- Jan. 14th: Oxford Downs Pony Club is offering a clinic with farrier
Mark Struthers.
10 a.m. until 12 noon at
U and Me Stables (Dini Gowenlock), 1293 Dozois Street, Manotick, 613-692-6298.
Learn about the principles of shoeing, shoe types, common ways a
horse becomes lame. Mark will demonstrate on a horse and he has a
sample leg.
$5 fee but snacks will be provided at
the end of the presentation.
It is in a heated barn but dress appropriately.
Directions: Take Mitch Owens Rd. east of Manotick to first set of
lights, which is Dozois Street. Turn right on Dozois (St. Mark's High
School is on the corner) Follow Dozois to 1293, on the left side of road.

- Jan. 5-6th: Tetrathlon meet in Ottawa. Fencing and Riding (with
school horses) on
Friday, and Run, Swim, and Shoot on Saturday. Cost about $80 for everything
(but
you can do fewer parts for less).
