GOVERNOR GENERAL'S AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Governor General's Award of Excellence is a financial scholarship funded by the patron's fund of the Canadian Pony Club. Two awards of $1000.00 each, and one award of $500.00 will be given out to Pony Club members who exemplify the aims and objectives of Pony Club.

CRITERIA

Part A $1000.00 Scholarships

Candidates will be selected on the basis of information contained in their application form and letters of reference. The following areas will carry the most weight.

1. Participation in instruction and testing at both the Branch and Regional levels.

2. Participation in Branch and Regional activities.

3. Candidates must have achieved a B2 or higher level.

4. A's will receive primary consideration, but the award is not limited to A's.

Part B $500.00 Scholarship

1. Participation in instruction and testing at both the Branch and Regional levels.

2. Participation in Branch and Regional activities.

3. Candidates must have achieved a C2 or B.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

1. If you do not receive a scholarship in any given year, you may reapply in future years. An active member may only win this award once.

2. Application deadline is Dec 15. Applications must reach the National Office by Dec 15. Late applications will not be considered.

3. Notification of winners will be by February 28th or as soon there after as possible.

4. Scholarships will be presented at the Canadian Pony Club Annual General Meeting in April.

5. You must be attending or registered at a University or College in order to be eligible for this award. You must have at least one more semester following the award presentation in April. The cheque will be made out to the Institute and not to the individual.
