Annapolis Pony Club hosted the Regional Dressage Qualifiers on June 15th for Avon, Eastern Shore, West Valley, Evangeline and Annapolis. Twenty-one riders competed in the event with placings as follows: Starter Division 1st Place - Cali-Rose Keating (Annapolis) 2nd Place - Hannah Gertridge (Annapolis) 3rd Place - Hailie Sproul (Evangeline) Pre-Training 1 1st Place - Miranda Beveridge (Annapolis) 2nd Place - Jessica VanNostrand (Evangeline) 3rd Place - Rebecca Ongo (Annapolis) Pre-Training 2 1st Place - Rebecca Ongo (Annapolis) 2nd Place - Emma Foote (Annapolis) 3rd Place - Tiffanie Bint (Evangeline) Training B 1st Place - Natasha Poole (West Valley) 2nd Place - Brittany Parker (Annapolis) 3rd Place - Dezaray Winkleman (Annapolis) Training D 1st Place - Natasha Poole (West Valley) 2nd Place - Brittany Parker (Annapolis) 3rd Place - Rachele Foote (Annapolis) In our First Level Division, Laura Jacquard from West Valley was our only competitor. Laura rode both the First Level A and B tests and it was an excellent opportunity for our younger riders to observe dressage at the higher level. During the awards presentation, Marion Foote (Dressage Judge) was recognized for her professionalism and dedication to the sport. Marion's family and horses were evacuated from their home on Friday night due to the forest fire that threatened homes and horse facilities in the Porters Lake area. Competitors from the June 15th Qualifier will join the competitors from the June 14th qualifier held in Truro on August 16th for the NS Regional Dressage Championships at CNHP.
