1999 Regional D Challenge :

hosted by Avon Pony Club.

The D Challenge was held in Windsor, October 23; hosted once again by the Avon Pony Club. Twenty-six members from seven branches attended. Teams of three or four E to D1 level riders competed in Dressage, Equitation and Stadium Jumping. The rain poured down for most of the day. The wet weather didn't seem to dampen spirits or tack and resulted in many creative ways to warm ponies up indoors. A thank you goes out to Beth Rand, who was the judge for all three phases of the competition.

The last event of the day was Stadium Jumping with many clear rounds! It was wonderful to see such a good turnout for the last mounted Pony Club competition of the year. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was good to see so many older club members from many branches helping the younger riders. Thanks to the Avon branch for holding this very special competition again this year. Thanks to all who generously volunteered their time and skills.
