* Spring has sprung and summer vacation is drawing near...that means
another fun-filled Pony Club season is here! This page will show you the events that have already passed and will give notice
of events to keep in mind...
Recent/past Events:
* February 5th's meeting covered the equine first aid kit and how to react in different
situations involving injury , the refresher was greatly appreciated.
* An FPC badge weekend was held on February 11th and 12th. The Bit Board and Shoe
Board were completed, along with the FPC Badge Banners. Badges will be presented before we finish the lectures this spring.
* A grocery bagging fundraiser was held on February 17th at SuperStore. Thanks
to all those who participated, the effort deffinetly helped out the FPC funds.
* The D Quiz hosted by Fairwind on March 25th was a great success! Good job to all
its participants! Everyone seemed to have a great time.
* On April 8th Colchester PC hosted a C Quiz. It was great fun, and the Fairwind team did
very well!
* A C/D Quiz was hosted by West Valley PC on May 6th. Fairwind did great, good job teams!
* Three of our Fairwind members have qualified for the 2006 PC 'C' Quiz nationals held in
Saskatoon, SK: Jessica Swinkles, Caitlyn Swinkles, and Amy Buckland-Nicks. Congratulations!
* The written test portion of this year's PC testing was on May 17th. Everybody
passed, well done everyone.
* On Saturday June 3rd, the Fairwind Pony Club went to Donna DeWolfe's for a miniature horse
driving demonstration. Everybody who wished were allowed to drive the minis. Man, are they ever cute! and can they ever go!
I'm sure almost everybody wanted to take one home with them...
Upcoming Events:
* For those who haven't sold all their Pizza Delight coupons yet , it would be good
to get those finished up.
* The Andy Wadowski cross-country schooling clinic is on Wednesday, June 28th at Central
Nova, Truro.
* Central Nova Horse Trials is on Sunday July 16th at Central Nova, Truro.
* Fairwind is hosting a show on Saturday August 12th, at Fairwind Farm, Antigonish.
* The riding/stable management portion of the PC testing will take place on August
19th.
* A second Fairwind show will be held on Saturday September 23rd, at Fairwind Farm, Antigonish.
