Colchester Pony Club is a part of the Nova Scotia Region of the Canadian Pony Club and serves the area near Truro, with members coming from as far as Folly Mountain and Elmsdale. We have 19 members ranging in age from 9 to 21 years of age.

WHAT'S HAPPENING!!

2007 is off with a bang! Our club has grown this year to 19 members – 9 returning members & 10 new members. We want to welcome new members: Amelia, Alysha, Ashlee, Charlene, Emily, Jenna, Lane, Lauren, Olivia & Talia. Welcome back to Abby, Allison, Andrea, Becky, Chantal, Emma, Janice, Kaitlyn & Teigen. Lets strive for another fun pony club year!

Our year started off with a Christmas party and wagon ride at the Hamilton Farm in Onslow. The unusually warm evening was perfect for a wagon ride (or rather, 3 wagons!) to the camp for fun & snacks. The evening was enjoyed by both members and their families. A special thank you to Ann & Fred Hamilton for their kindness & hospitality.

Weekly stable management lectures are underway on Friday evenings in Brookfield with 3 groups preparing for their written tests. Our lecturers this year are: Teigen Bond, Laura MacEachern, Carolyn Van den Heuvel, Lauren Johnson & Margie Johnson. Thanks ladies! We appreciate your dedication!

Plans are currently underway for some badge work during the winter months.

Our club is hosting two regional activities in 2007: C Quiz and D Challenge. As well, we are hosting our major fundraiser – the Primary Circuit Hunter Show. Committees will soon be making plans for these events. Everyone's help is needed to make these events a success!
