Prairie valley Pony Club, Manitoba's newest club hosted the first leg of the 2008 quiz season with the Westman quiz.
We used the home economics room at Tanners Crossing Elementary School for 4 hours on Sunday afternoon. 26 pony clubbers were in attendance with ages from 7 to 22 and levels from E to C2.
We started with a tough written paper written by Sarah Read BHSAI then a well deserved pot luck lunch and off to the gymnasium for 10 stations. There was feed samples, points of the horse with labels on 3 model horses, what to wear in the ring, dress your horse travel, 50 tack items to identify, know your dressage letters, jeopardy on pony club activities and your organising committees, match the definitions and go for gold as its an Olympic year.
