Baldur Windup and Fun Day
We decided to chance one more outside day on October 20. We lucked in and the afternoon was sunny and reasonably warm as we gathered at Will Farm for some PPG and some jumping to finish off the year.
We started by reviewing some basic skills and getting the horses used to flags and fish and jackets and cans and poles. Then we did some stretching and reaching. Lane can almost touch the ground from her pony!!
The horses and ponies all seemed to enjoy the games as much as the kids did. We hope to do more PPG next year, now that we have quite a bit of materials stored at Will Farm. We plan to invite Brandon and Prairie Valley to join us for some fun days.
Following the games, we warmed up over some low fences and then tried some pairs jumping. That was fun too, as riders tried to match their horses striding and jumping with the horse in the next lane.
We ended our day with a great potluck supper. Thanks to all the parents who contributed.
We also started to collect our fees and forms and will complete that process at our AGM/reorganizational meeting in Baldur on Nov. 18th.
