Here are highlight results from the first Central Ontario Qualifier for the Regional Show Jumping Finals, held on Sunday, June 6 at Woodwind South near Barrie, hosted by the Centaurus Pony Club. Complete order of finish follows the highlights. Selection for the Regional Finals will be based on scores achieved at this meet and another qualifier in August.
In this show, four divisions of Pre-Entry riders competed in two classes each: a single round plus jump-off class, and a medal class judged on equitation both over fences and at various gaits on the flat. The higher divisions competed in three classes each, a single round plus jump-off class, a power and speed class and a medal class to determine a Champion and a Reserve in each division.
Pre-Entry Division A-1 - The Champion was Olivia Gionet of the Rising Star Pony Club, with Emily Gray of the Maple Pony Club the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Division A-2 - The Champion was Taylor Geisel of the Centaurus Pony Club, with Jessie Paul-Griffin of Maple the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Division B - Jacqueline Smith of Maple was the Champion, and another Maple rider, Talia Rockman, was the Reserve.
Pre-Entry Schooling Division - Emily Lindsay of Rising Star was the Champion, with Chelsea Geer of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club the Reserve.
Entry Division (First Qualifying Level) - Kiara Crosbie of Maple was the Champion, and Amy Westlund of Rising Star was the Reserve.
Starter Division - Rachel Scott of the Victoria Pony Club was the Champion, with no Reserve.
Beginner Division - Meg Scott of Victoria was the Champion, with Jenna Meeser of Rising Star the Reserve.
Intermediate Division - Champion was Emma Bradbury of Centaurus, with Rebecca Simmons of the Durham Pony Club the Reserve.
