Here are the Central Ontario Region Pony Clubbers who have qualified for the Central Canadian Zone Dressage and Show Jumping Championships, to be held on Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19 at Hawkridge Farm in Morton, Ontario (near Kingston), hosted by the St. Lawrence-Ottawa Valley Region. Each member of the Central Ontario team qualified by competing in a number of shows held through the spring and summer, and, in the case of dressage, achieving a certain minimum mark in their Division.

Dressage

For Basic 1, Jordan Thompson of the Durham Pony Club, and sisters Tiffany and Sarah Kift of the Oshawa Pony Club.

For either Basic 1 or Basic 2, July Pett and Jessie Barrieau of the Victoria Pony Club, Samantha Quinn-Steinberg of the Maple Pony Club, Aimee Heroux of the Temisikaming Pony Club and Allison Birdsall of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club.

For Basic 2, Casey Barton of the Victoria Pony Club.

For either Basic 2 or Basic 3, Larissa Grabowski of the Durham Pony Club.

For either Basic 3 or Basic 4, Megan Mattos of the Kawartha Pony Club.

For either Basic 4 or Medium 1, sisters Sarah and Jenny Rae of the Victoria Pony Club.

Show Jumping

For the Starter Division: Sarah Bortoluss of the Ajax Pony Club; Korie Weston and Ian Sharpe of the Brooklin Pony Club; Danielle Berry and Leala Pomfret of the Durham Pony Club; Meredith Boddington, Lisa Carswell and Lara Harmon of the Muskoka Lakes Pony Club; Jen Graham of the Pickering Pony Club; Emma Fauquier of the Tynedale Pony Club; Madison Reeves and Lindsey Forkun of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club; and Julie Pett of the Victoria Pony Club.

For the Beginner Division: Amanda Weston of the Brooklin Pony Club; Jordan Thompson and Katie Murray of the Durham Pony Club; Melyssa Cowan of the Oshawa Pony Club; Eliza Gravel of the Temiskaming Pony Club; and Stephanie Horgan-Smith and Charlotte Winder of the Timberline Pony Club.

For the Novice Division: Nadiya Osmani of the Sudbury Pony Club and Courtney Cotter of the Timberline Pony Club.

For the Intermediate Division: Michael Durward of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club.

For the Advanced Division: Kate Webb of the Simcoe Pony Club and Kevin Durward of the Uxbridge-Scugog Pony Club.

Congratulations to all these fine young riders, with special mentions for Jordan Thompson of Durham and Julie Pett of Victoria, who qualified in both dressage and show jumping.
