Scoring in PPG is as follows.  The winning team in each game gets one point for the number of teams playing, plus one, the second place team one less than that and so forth.  Thus, in this meet, an A-level team would earn four points for winning a race, while a B-level team would get nine points.

The Prince Philip Cup Games are a team competition played by Pony Clubs around the world. The Games are played by teams of five riders and five ponies, four of which participate in each game. All of the Games are variations on the relay race, and all are great fun for players and spectators alike. Many of the Games require the riders and ponies to run a slalom course around a series of poles from one end of the playing field to the other, where they hand-off something to the next rider on their team. In some races, riders have to vault off of and onto their ponies. 111 Pony Clubbers from 11 Branches play PPG in Central Ontario.

The next meet will be the Regional Finals on July 2, at Durward Farm. Regional A and Masters champions go on to play for the National Championships, which will be held at Spruce Meadows this year in late July.

Individual A-level riders are given the chance to try out for the 2001 Canadian team, which will compete against teams from other countries for the title of World Champions.
