King Pony Club

Formed in 2004, King Pony Club (KPC) encourages its members to get involved in all equestrian activities - lessons, clinics, testing, education and socializing - so they can experience the maximum benefit of their time in Pony Club. Fun is a big priority at King, because riding horses isn't all about competition, it's about forming a bond with your horse and having a great time with the friends you make along the way.

KPC primarily serves the Aurora and Newmarket areas of York Region. However, many King Pony Club members ride from Briarwood Farms, which while located in Aurora, ON, pulls riders in from all parts of the GTA.

Our branch is run by a volunteer, elected  committee composed of parents, members, former members and coaches. The 2010 Branch Executive Committee is:

District Commissioner -- Laurie Blake
Assistant District Commissioner -- Sam Ng
Youth Representative -- Jennifer Hill
Treasurer -- Julie Anderson
Secretary -- Sarah Cowie
Coach -- Jan Humphrey
Off Site Coach -- Kate Evans

For general information about KPC, and to join our branch, please contact our DC Laurie Blake via email, at ljblake@rogers.com.

Our Youth Representative, elected unanimously by King Pony Club members, is Jennifer Hill. Jennifer can be reached by email at horse-obsessed@hotmail.com.

Jan Humphrey, Equine Canada Level 2 Coach, is King's primary coach. DC Laurie Blake, also an EC Certified Instructor, is on hand for all shows and EC Certified Instructor Kate Evans has also coached King riders at many shows, including through a very successful 2009 D Rally.
