Membership
Meetings
Our
meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month,
from September to June. These meetings are our main forum for
exchanging information, solving problems, and planning upcoming events.
Prospective members are always welcome to attend. The annual
general meeting, when the new executive is voted in and members rejoin
for the coming year, is held in September. This is a social event, and
junior members give reports on the various activities of the past year.
Membership Fees
The annual membership fee, currently $142 per member, includes Horse
Council insurance, extra Pony Club insurance for all Pony Club related
activities, and membership in the Metchosin Equestrian Society. Members
are partially subsidized for many activities, including clinics, rallies, and competitions.
Members also have the opportunity to attend yearly camps and receive riding
instruction and stable management lessons at very reasonable fees.
