Lessons
Group
riding lessons occur, weather permitting, weekly from March to June and
from September to November. Lesson fees vary, but are generally
less than $25 per lesson. Members also have the opportunity to
attend specially arranged clinics and camps with instruction in specialized disciplines of riding. Dressage,
show jumping and cross-country clinics are arranged for interested
members, with lessons provided by certified coaches who specialize in
these particular areas.
Stable
Management lessons are offered from November to March. These include
both theory and practice in a variety of horse-related topics, such as
feeding, shoeing, first aid for horses, tack fitting, conformation,
conditioning, and safety around horses. Attendance is mandatory for
riders interested in testing for Pony Club levels.
